Karaoke?

I don't think anyone around there does it Wednesdays or Thursdays... Chaplin's up here (Roswell) does on Wed's, but it is like a 20- to 30-minute drive from Midtown, and I've never been inside.

According to what I found on the web, there's also Dugan's (in L5P? somewhere off Ponce, anyway), Maggie's (off Druid Hills, a little hike), and My Sister's Room (Decatur, think this is a lesbian bar).

That's all I could find, and I've never been to any of 'em.

Thanks for the suggestions lady. I guess I'll just have to see how it pans out. I appreciate the help, anyway!

Ok, so I've been meaning to post about this for awhile but haven't gotten around to it...

So at Buford Hwy. and 285 there is a Korean boiling alley/ arcade/pool hall/ karaoke place that actually has prog and power metal!!

I was in total shock when I went there! I wasn't expecting to find anything I listen to on there list but found a ton!

This is what I remember them having: an Angra album, an Avantasia album, a few Edguy songs, a ton of Helloween, a ton of Dio, typical Maiden, a few Sonata Arctica song, 1 Symphony X song, and a ton of other stuff that I can't remember (but I was drinking). I think there was some prog stuff like Vanden Plas and DT too.

I don't and can't sing, but I would love to go there some time and hear people try. Although I am afraid that these songs might be a bit hard for your average Karaoke singer. However, maybe Atlantan PP people could check it out some time... and bring some good singers... if they are in town :)

It is a really weird place and it has 2 bars that are pretty cheap...

It is called the International Bowling and Arcade

Hey! Sounds like fun! If anyone wants to get together and do that, I'm in.

However, is this a private rental thing you have to do?

I think so, but I don't think it is that expensive if you have a bunch of people spliting it.

When?
There is the preparty and the prepreparty then PP... after the prepreparty still might work...
I don't really know when people are intown. Sunday might work best, but everyone will be tired...

So what's up? Who wants to go? They are open until 2AM on Wed night and till 4AM on Thursday night so I don't know which night would work better. What do ya'll think? Even if we just bowl I think it will be fun!!

If I'm not too tired, I could be up for either night. Although some other time not near PP might be better for me too. People will definitely need cars to get up there (and soberish drivers).

I will warn you that if you wind up bowling, you will be subject to some of the most awful Asian techno ever :) !
