A couple of days ago I also realised that Katatonia is actually one of the very few bands who have actually never let me down with any of their albums... They have not released a bad or disappointing album, they're all excellent .

I really didn't say this as some blind "I'll like anything if it's Katatonia" fanboy, I really mean this. Other favourite bands of mine, like Dark Tranquillity, Opeth, In Flames, Anathema and many more have all one or two albums in their roster that I don't really like as much as the others.Originally posted by MadTinus

Projector is definatly my favourite DT album, and therefore they have never dissapointed me. Neither have Katatonia of course.F.ex. DT "Projector", Opeth "MAYH", IF last 3 albums (new one included), Anathema "AFDTE" all lacked the magic element I liked about those bands. But Katatonia don't have any of those "less good" albums, they made quite a dramatic style-change, but kept up the quality level throughout. I honestly don't have a favourite Katatonia album, they're all good... And with the news about the new album's direction in mind this is not likely to change...
Well, much discussion on the DT board has proved that the clean vocals on Projector are really a case of "love it or hate it", I just never got used to them... "The Mind's I" is another DT album I don't care that much about, has a few nice songs, but really lacked the depth and magic of The Gallery.Originally posted by Ormir
