They use drumns and a bass also ;) lol

HA-HA..

I found it on the web - so how about any updates?
Anders:
Electric Guitar (Gibson SG-X, dark red/black see-through colour)
Electric Guitar (Epiphone Les Paul special model-limited edition, dark red see-through colour)
Electric Guitar (Fresher Les Paul, tobacco sunburst colour)
Electric Guitar (Cort Flying V, black colour)
Acoustic Guitar (Aria, 12 strings)
Effect (Boss GT-3, digital multi-effect guitar processor)

Fredrik:
Electric guitar (Gibson Gothic Les Paul, satin black finish and colour)
Electric Guitar (Fender Telecaster Custom, sunburst colour)
Acoustic Guitar (Yamaha)
Effect (Boss GT-3, digital multi-effect guitar processor)
Effect (Boss Metal Zone, Heavy Metal & Digital Delay pedals)

Mattias:
Fender Precision bass
(hm... not very detailed info.)

Daniel:
Tama Starclassic drums and hardware, Blue see-through colour,
Zildjan cymbals, Vater Fatback 3A sticks

From the tour I can only remember to Fredrick's LP Gothinc..

its pretty much still the same with esception of the matamps the guitarists are now using. Daniel still uses the same stuff now using Vater drumsticks, an ampeg amp a fender bass etc. Fred is using an sg standard in red & anders using now a wine red les paul special 2 by epiphone.

and Mattias? Are his 2 Fenders the same? A black one and a brown with white inlay..

It's interesting that Anders use kind of middle-quality stuff (Epiphone..) or am I wrong?

His fenders are both the same model fender precision sunburst basses, 4 strings. He has a maple necked model but doesn't use it on tour.
Anders uses the epiphone because well...he isn't endorsed. He uses what he wants to use. Now you can pick up his model epiphone special 2 in wine red here in the staes for around $179. Not a bad price.

Fredrik (with his real LP) isnt endorsed either, so what? I just thought that after playing in a more or less successful band for years, people dont use such copycat guitars.. but it may be only my dislike for epiphone.. ;)
Do you know the model number of the Fender bass?

Ya know it may just be what you're comfortable with. I have both Gibson les pauls & epiphone les pauls. I obviously could afford the epiphones first & got used to them plus the fact that they're like 10 pounds less then the gibson! (unless you're Zakk Wylde & can lift without any back problems, sometimes the ligher weights are easier on backs & shoulders.
The bass is simply a Fender Amrican Precision bass from 95. Simple huh? Easy oh yeah!

your're rigth.. I have problems with my 5kilogramm bass.. and i'm unfortunately not Zakk W., though we have the same birthday... :) There was once a LP Custom series with hollowed body.. I'd like that the most..

(and it's the comfort why i dont like epiphones.. the neck is thicker I think and not so smooth like the real one. not talking about the sound.. ) How do you know so much about their gear? ;)

I know so much because I was so curious about their gear for so long. I just had top study their stuff & talk to them personally to find out exactly what they use.
Unfortunately your not zakk wylde huh? Then you'd have a thick beard haha!
Hollow body les paul customs, im not too such about those but whatever works. I actually own a Gibson 79 les paul custom with a maple fretboard & maple neck! pretty rare!

got a basic korean Ibanez model and a warwick masterman bass and johnson j-station amp/effect-thingie.. I'm far not a professional..

I've got one Epiphone LP and had time with the SG. I like both of the guitars - and the more expensive versions feel quite decent. They're not up to the quality of the real deal - but to be honest, when layered over with the kind of distortion the MT-2 and GT-3 pump out, the difference in guitar tone is pretty imperceptible.

I hope they are using the GT-6 rather than the GT-3 these days - it is an amazing processor, and I believe it's seriously better than the GT-3.

damn the gt-3! opeth uses them live too and they get an amazing sound, straight through the thing into the amps...yet mine simply will not cooperate with doing that. I've got a laney gh50l and the overdrive on it is amazing, nails either band, but you lose a lot of versatility doing that especially when I need clean sounds or accoustic type sounds.

Maybe someone has some ideas? Somewhere to start with settings that I havn't tried?

Thanks for posting the gear too, even though knowing one more band has made that damn thing work where I can't is rather depressing :erk:

Maple fretboard! Blasphemy! Its rosewood or death for me i'm afraid ;)

Whats your setup incision and dora?

I got a gorden smith g06 and an ESP viper running through a dunlop 535q wah and an ibanez delay into a morley a/b/y splitting into a marshall 100 watt 1981 '57 SLP and a marshall DSL 50 watt thru a 1960 slanted marshall cab... :)
Ya know Im a young guy but I have a ton of shit man. I can go on for days but I'll basic lay it out & least what I use in the studiop & on stage touring with my band...

Gibson les paul standard natural finish
Gibson les paul standard goldtop (non reissue)
Gison les paul standard honeyburst
ESP explorer (lawsuite model)black (a la devin townsend)
many epiphone, a few 7's...
All my guitars have seymour duncan parallel axis distortion trembuckers in the bridges, heaviest chunky shit ever! I mean ever! I mean I can play the chunky part of "wealth" clean with my guitars & they laugh! hahaha
In the neck either a PAF in custom, Burstbucker 1 in natural & burst
Seymour duncan in honeyburst 59 model
My esp I have EMG Zakk Wylde 81 85s in them.
