depressing? well, i've always seen that as being kind of the point, actually... boring? um. (not going to be an asshole, NOT going to be an asshole)... if that's your opinion, dont listen to em, and stay off our board. thank you. personally, i dont see them as even slightly 'boring,' but ... to each his own, i suppose. but please, dont come on here bashing them... really not worth any of our time.

If you're talking about their new style, I would call them pretty boring/depressing....

Well, they've never been very uplifting... so what? It's one hallmark of their style, and that's good.

OK I got tired about that style shit... everyone has different opinions. I heard that song that says ".. in the water I saw you drown... " I think that the name is "I saw you drown". Thats their new style! Anyways that Im sure it has metal on it. and because the low chords I would say is doom metal. But is also different to the other doom metal bands like amorphis or theater of tragedy. Katatonia uses acoustic guitars and the lyrics sound depressing too. So I would say something like:
Gothic Doom metal or perhaps Symphonic Doom metal. And thats it!! Thats my choice!
