Sorry I've been away a while. I just got back from Kauai ~ what a beautiful place. :) Anyone else going on vacation soon?

Kauai? Oh life is rough...hee, hee; anyway, nothing that exotic planned, but I will be doing the usual stops around the Olympic Mountains, and burning bon fires on the beach on the Ocean by the Rain Forest, but this time I will have my 10 million candle light power flashlight to play with.

Does a business trip count as a holiday when its too Sunny California, and I'm from wet Scotland? ;-)

Yes it does, but only if you go to the amusement park, or something other than watching TV in the hotel room. I was in Italy and this dude I was with only wanted to eat and watch TV in his room, what a fool; man I went to many places and hung down town after work hours. I was there when Bon Jovi performed at the square in Naples, and he was one hotel down the sidewalk from me, and must have had oh a hundred or two hundred fans standing in front every day. Okay if you stay extra days on your own and do things, then it becomes a vacation, in part.

I have one of those flashlights too! You can see for miles like it's daylight with those things! Those are brutal if you shine it in a friend's face! You can even get a sunburn from those! :tickled: We actually used it at our last Galaxy show and had the 2nd devil carrying it around with some Co2 also and giving the crowd little shots of devlish lovin.

Another Scot!! Me too!!

Hey! How did you hear of the Maidens?

Hey dude! Bought a Phantom Blue record a couple of weeks ago, it rocked so looked them up on the web, found that they had a site and read about the side projects. Flying to LA today with work so thought I would check The Maidens out while I am there, lucky bastard or what!?

Be sure to see us after the show and say "hi". It's always nice being able to put a face to a name.:)

Well I'm heading to the Cedar City, UT Shakespeare fest in July.. I swear tis the best one in the country..you have got to see their Globe theater!

Sides for that, ploddin away with the slave drivers at work. heh

Hey, HobbesDawg, is there a metal scene in SLC? I was there in January this year, struggled to get a beer let alone any good music. Going back in June for 2 weeks and could do with some entertainment, so if you can point me inthe right direction, that would be appreciated :)

Which cd did you get? I heard of the Maidens first and then checked out Phantom Blue afterwards. After picking my jaw up off the ground I ordered the lot!!!! The debut is my favourite - WE'RE GOING MAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :headbang: That song is awesome, but Mutha is my favourite one.

You are indeed a lucky bastard!!! Me and my pals are maybe going out to the west coast next year if Metallica do another tour (we went "on tour" with them on the east coast last year) so we're hoping to do the same again. Hopefully I'll be able to catch the Maidens then. I will see this band if it kills me!! :loco:

I'm taking a week to go home to Connecticut to get the rest of my things and drive back to Michigan, does that count?

I'm still hoping to visit a close friend in Riverside and making the commute to LA to catch a Maidens show over the summer, though.

I'm heading to Missouri this weekend to visit some family members but I'll only be there for a few days. Does anyone know of anything fun to do there that children will also enjoy? I have 3 nephews aged 7 and 3 (twins). My next "big" trip will be to Greece in September. I wonder of there are any Maiden tribute bands there.

I'm getting ready to open the lake cabin soon. So, pretty much every weekend I can sit on the dock and see this:

Hey Steph,
What part of the island were you staying? Did you make it to Tunnels Beach? That is the best place to snorkel. My mother-in-law owns a condo in Kapa'a so my wife and I go there as much as we can. It really is one of the most beautiful spots on our planet.
