Kemper guys: where do I put the preamp?

i have 2 CAPI preamps that add really nice color on guitar and bass but i am not sure how to integrate into my kemper setup. does anyone stick the preamp in the profiling chain or do you just run your tracks back through the preamp after recording direct from the kemper?

you should try both since i guess the result should be different (not night and day i guess but still diferent)

I get the profiles using an Api 512c preamp (between the mic and the Kemper preamp) and the results are very good.

so then it goes mic > preamp > return input of kemper?

Yep. I actually feed the Kemper from an aux on my desk when making profiles so that I can blend mic's/cabs.
