The only reason people equate Mudvayne with Slipknot is their wacky costume, face paint image....

in my opinion...if they didn't look like that, they would never get signed to a major label, they be on a label like Century Media or Nuclear Blast and have a huge underground following....

but alot of metalheads dismiss them because they created an image that got them noticed my the mainstream and don't listen to the music objectively.

I saw Mudvayne recently with Taproot and some other band. It was a really good show and I enjoyed it. (Even though I hadn't heard their music until I had bought the CD two weeks before the show.)

But I have to tell ya...I haven't listened to it since then! Although I've been listening to the Taproot one, (welcome) almost everday....go figure!

Oops...forgot to mention that I LOVE that song Passenger from the White Pony album!

i saw Dredg once, they were opening for Taproot, so i decided to stay around for their part of the show

i thought they were the sissiest numetal band I'd ever heard

i spent most of the time laughing at how bad they were

Passenger is a great song! I like that album ... maynard j keenan really adds a nice touch to passenger

Well YEAH!!! They are sissies (sp?)...But I dig their new album...the other one I had was really bad!! It was so bad I just gave it away!

I saw them live twice, (within a space of 9 days! lol) And I had a really good time at each show.......
