Hey guys..

I'm having a tough time getting a neat EQ over my kick drum (triggers).. here's the spectrum analysis I get for the kick:

I was told that it could interfere with the bass since the kick should be located mainly around 70hz...

what do you think?

This is how it sounds like..

I think you should listen to it and ignore any graphs, pie charts or spread sheets that you might create. Seriously tho, I can't tell a anything from that graph. That said, the graph doesn't look anything like what I'm hearing in the sample. I'm assuming that the spectrum analysis is pre-eq and the sample in the song is post eq right? IMO you have cut way too much low end. I would ignore the advice about the kick needing to "be mainly located around 70hz" -- if you here interference then work on it, but never assume it's going to be there. On a side note tho, if you are having to drastically eq a sample to get it to sound right then you probably just picked the wrong sample and should try another.
