they're really ugly and sound very good with the ol' ipod

Just a regular ol' bed. Can't remember what size....something small....twin maybe. Expect her to fall out a few times....or you could get what we did: a retractable barrier for one side (only effective if the other side of the bed is against a wall)
I'll find a link and post it.
In the meantime, just get a bed/mattress.
