Kids, cars and home electronics

It really is.
But you have to look at it as a COMPLETELY different lifestyle. You can't even say something like, "oh, the joy of having kids overshadows any kind of freedom or increase in responsibility" because they're two totally different worlds. Not even comparable.

Damn Ars & Dorian. You're making me think that I made a huge mistake!

I'll keep looking towards Uncle Lurch and Footbalm.

don't look at me, I am trying to get the wife to meet some swingers

Footbalm is just stuck in the woods (and shares an account with Johanna)

Ugh. I'm a teacher so I deal with little shits every day. And Japanese parents let their there kids completely run amok and be fucking monsters until junior high. Popular thinking is that they do that because they feel sorry for the pressure, long days (and nights) of studying, and the general soul crushing that Japanese society and schools will inevitably cause their kids starting around the age of 13.

So every time my wife swoons over some cute kid and turns to ask me when we can have one, I say something "when we can afford it." That, of course, being never in this fucking country. Not that I'm too sad about it.

A question about home electronics: considering that a low E on a bass is around 41 Hz (and a low B around 30 Hz), how is it that standard stereo setup is able to reproduce these frequencies when the response of a typical speaker only goes as low as say, 50 Hz (and that's on a *good* one)? Is it thus reasonable to claim that, unless you have a speaker that can achieve the actual range of the bass, you're not hearing a faithfully reproduced note?
Is that why people add subwoofers to their systems?
If so, why don't 2-channel amps have a sub-out?
