sup guys, i need some seriouzzz opinions about this mix, it's the very beggening of a song from a band i'm mixing (i re-tracked the guitars in my SUPERSECRET home studio and they're so happy about the 'new fx' i added o_O) so the deal is; latey i've come to read in this forum that most elements of the mix should stand like 'around' the vocals, like trying to not touch their eq but make everything sit with it... so i was trying to achieve that because i kind'a do the opposite, i always take a lot of freqs out of the vocals (maybe because i didn't have a vocal booth before, and it was my lame attempt...) but ok, thing is:

This is TSX, lecab & s-preshigh / superior with slate's, nothing fancy, comp and eq all over, (i'll post specifications if requested obviously) and i kinda got into a tone that sounded really good on my cheap headphones, but the bass was so damn wild i had to turn it down with eq on the master bus before coming to work so i could post something that would not blow yer speakers... so yeah it may not sound exactly as i wanted but you get the idea, guess i'll tame those lows later with multiband comp or something.

Any specific opinions about the vocals? that's my weakest part i think, maybe automation would help?, but you'll tell me. Thanks in advance for all the opinions!

PS: you catharsis, lepou and onqel are 3 fucking beasts!

yes maybe the vox sounds kind'a weak compared to the guitars... i dunno if that's a guitar problem or we could just find a better way to track the vocals maybe? (or a better vocalist... like... a growling one? heh) i kind'a boosted the oh's because i thought they where like invisible in this mix :S i can't really figure if it's a gain problem or maybe i should leave the gain as it is and just kill some high freqs... or even lowpass them... thanks for the answer it's greatly appreciated
