hmm... i just had a listen to killswitch engaged album yesterday... they are not nu-metal at all.. they've got intense riffing... the only thing that makes them so called 'modern' is their vocal melodies that they have... other than that, i can find shades of at the gates, soilwork and aso carcass riffing... they have got a sweden thrash feel with a strong meshuggah/ dillinger escape plan touch.. one of the reasons why people may not like them is because of their image.. they really dress like new machine head.

I've heard enough "Nu Metal" to know what it is and what it isn't. Killswitch is no nu metal band at all. If anyone gives them that label it can't be based on their sound...it'd be because of their age or how they dress probably.

I would think good Testament fans would really like these guys...lots of good riffs and screeching vocals. I'm sure KsE are big Testament fans.

I DID hear the correct band originally (and thanks to your 2 links I was able to verify this) and in my opinion killswitch engage suck pretty hard and are trendy nu school crap not worthy of pissing on.
(The chick in this other band looks pretty hot!)
