Just saw some VIP pics uploaded to FB, Gene's not there but Louis Clemente is......

Louie always comes to the shows and hangs out with the guys when they're around NY. I bet they didn't manage to talk him into playing one song with them this time. As for the lack of Gene - sometimes one of the guys is not present at the VIP meet and greet (usually Greg or Gene). Here Gene is at the 3rd picture, though (the same location).

I don't have an account either, but their page is open to everybody (at least to some degree) so I do check it out for news from time to time (it's certainly more up to date than the official website).
