What do bands use to hid there amps behind with like there logo on it, Similar to a backdrop but its on like both sides of the stage on some kind of stand? :Smug:

We really wanna get something like this but don't even know were to begin to look.

Please help or point me in a direction to look or google.

Thanks

I'm no longer in the band, so I don't even know where they are now.

The frame was made of 1/2" PVC pipe, into a 5' x 5' square. The legs were just "T"s at the bottom.

For the fabric we got black fabric from a craft store, put it on a wall and used a projector to project the logo on to it. We outlined the logo with white paint and then filled it in.

One thing to look for would be a photography backdrop frame... I've seen some bands use those as well. Check out a pro photography site and you might find some stuff there.

Good luck.

I know Primal Fear use them, they looked great at wacken...we are looking to build our own soon, we plan to get the designed printed professionally and then use the PVC approach to build

When I set up for Opeth, one supporting band was Fireball Ministry - they did this by basically had a round support (like a flag base) with a pair of pipes sticking up from it, and their banner was folded over and sewn onto itself at the sides and the top so you could just slide it over a pipe (think legs through pants, guys) and then hold it up by sliding another pipe through the top of it and resting it on the other pipes. You could also velcro the fuck out of it, or just make your banner and then sew some loops onto it for support, but theirs was very simple and looked great.

I can't remember what these things are called, but I know a chick who works for a company that makes these, usually for convention events and such. Getting professional ones made are extremely expensive, IMO. The PVC pipe and fabric approach is the best idea, IMO. If you could find a place just to make the design, that would save you money as well. The framing is almost as expensive as the printing.
