i think thanatopsis mentioned these guys a while back. man what a friggin incredible album! very foresty, not your typical pagan metal stuff but some great riffs, dynamics, lots of acoustics, atmosphere! i dunno who to compare it to really...i suppose you could say they're like a more black metal opeth but rawer and less proggy.

i think they have a sample up on their site, http://www.klabautamann.de/

still rules me. at least until the moon passes into the fifth house and mercury aligns with saturn, at which point i am ruled by xun-ka, goddess of celestial enlightenment.

this description of "Der Ort" (out of stock by the way, as it was every fucking time I went to order it) at Redstream is very informative:

some TRACKS sound here and there still somewhat confused, yet" Our Journey Through The Woods became "an impressing work of black-metallic clay/tone art, which besides a first-class organization offer can and therefore each nature-inspired music lover, who should say, respond formations such as Ulver, Empyrium or mountain throne somewhat..

"Der Ort" grew old very fast for me. It was a good reminiscence of Dornenreich + early Opeth gone atmospheirc black metal, but the spell lifted after a dozen spins. This new track seems to come straight out of the same bag. Good song but sort of... thin. The cover is ace though.

The track jk posted is from their first album :loco: The last few minutes of the song seem to be the best though. The band does have a new 7 " out which i had no clue about.
