Korn fans suck!

You have no right to say something like that.

I've heard Origin and Black Dahlia Murder.

I still say S.C.I.E.N.C.E. is a heavy, challenging, and most of all, FUN listen.

Oooooh good for you, no one cares.

And I say it's boring, soft, contrived, angsty and worthless, but it's just my opinion so you don't need to cry about it.

Geez, you sure do take things literally.

And I don't think you've actually heard the album if that's how you describe it.

What do you listen to that's SOOOO great, anyway?

Read the other thread for metal bands I currently like. I enjoy most styles of music, from Radiohead to Repulsion to Graveland but that album IMO sucks hard. It sounds as if you're taking this too seriously.

Ack, get OK Computer by Radiohead or Jupiter by Cave in, they are IMO far better than TJT.

(Well since your into this sort of stuff you may already own both.)

Actually, I'm not a big Radiohead fan. I like a song or two, but I"m not personally into them.

And I hear Cave-In is pretty good, but I thought they were emocore or something I might not be into.

Maybe I'm confusing emo-core and metalcore. They're similar styles.

I'll check out Cave-In.

TJT may be overrated, but I just love it.

My other fave albums, let's see...

Awake by Godsmack
Hellbilly Deluxe by Rob Zombie
Seventh Son of a Seventh Son by Maiden
Demanufacture by Fear Factory
Let's Face It by The MMB
Chaos A.D. by Sepultura
Toxicity by SOAD
L.D. 50 by Mudvayne
Morningrise by Opeth
TJR/Whoracle/Colony by In Flames
River Runs Red by LOA
Down II by Down
Cowboys From Hell by Pantera
Losing Streak by Less Than Jake
Awake by Dream Theater
and of course SCIENCE.

The: Opeth, Maiden, (early) In flames, Down and Sepultura are the only ones I like, check out:

Storm of the lights bane by Dissection

Crimson by Edge of Sanity

Heartwork by Carcass

Human by Death

At the Heart of winter by Immortal

Turn loose the Swans by My Dying bride

All of these are accessible and easily available so you should have no problem tracking them down. They are also all incredibly good (no matter what you may have heard) so if you want some more metal download or buy them.

Don't like Dissection.

Death - Everything after and including Human is good.

Carcass - Heartwork is unbelievable!

Immortal are actually pretty good for black metal.

I've never been able to get into the rest.

I won't try and 'convert' you to 'nu-metal,' but I will say that bands like Darwin's Waiting Room, Boy Hits Car, From Zero, and downthesun are all pretty good. They're diverse, unique(more or less), and their lyrics aren't all about slitting wrists and stuff. And if they are, it's in a way, that's way too dark for Linkin Park and Manson fans to handle.

Hey man, I know my music. I might seem like a goth-wannabe tween at first read, but I'm pretty diverse. More than a lot of people on this board who show up in your face claiming to be open-minded.

Mallcore is Nu metal. Fuck knows what emo-core is.

Cheers for the info, yeah I get it now.

what is wrong with U2???

You can call me stupid if you want, but U2 sold out, they were good in like the Early 1980's everything before the Joshua Tree , but that broke them into the big time and destroyed them as a credible band. They did a song with Boyzone for crying out loud

See: Most bands ever

Edit Dissection own, can't wait for the return next year :headbang:
