Lake Bodom murderer got caught!

That's strange.. i'd love to know more about the case ... not about the thing that happened in 1960 but the cause why they arrested Nils...

Nils at the graves of the other three in 1984.

It could be that if he did it, he was in so confused state of mind that he had no idea what he was doing and because of the shock he forgot that he actually did it. I mean he lived a normal life (no crimes, a family) for 44 years after the incident and was interrogated by the police often and the case was often in the media, I don't think anyone normal could carry a burden this heavy otherwise.

Yup, sorry that was wrong info. I just cheked the news after i wrote that. Sorry bout that i heard it from a friend. I got to ask where he heard such a thing.

Yea, i agree. It was SO big deal here in finland. Biggest murder scene ever. Lake Bodom is known by everyone even after 44 years of it. Even a big worldwide band about the case must not be a easy thing to tolerate.

well, i itsn't that easy to kill three other persons.. so if it was a great fight before it all was over its likely that he got some hits himself too.

...if i has Nils who did it

Yes I have... actually there is lots of links for you, because it's in every newspaper and in TV news at the moment... all of those are written in Finnish language though:

as MarttiPrkl wrote, the murderer suspect is the fourth child of Bodom, who survived.. he was 18 years old by that time, on first news about that it was said only that he was under 20...

No fucking way he's the killer, if he was stabbed 10 times and was dying there if someone didnt find him.

Yes, he is the killer says finnish police forces. He fought a long time with the another boy and almoust died. This was maybe the main reason why the case was so long unsolved. None suspected him becouse he almoust died himself.

I think the case is now solved. I just watched the news and it said that police now has all the needed evicende to tell that he is the killer. He might have lost memory then he got hit in head with a heavy rock or just becouse of the trauma or something, but i still belive he dont know it himself. He maybe always had a suspicion that he could have been the killer himself but he never tell anyone about it since he wasent sure. The questing is what makes a young man to kill his girlfriend, best friend and best friends girlfriend.

Suspect Identified in 1960 Murder
03.04.2004, 18.55
Espoo District Court has named the man suspected for the infamous Lake Bodom murders which took place nearly 44 years ago. The man is the sole survivor of the group of 4 young people who went camping at Lake Bodom.

The sole survivor of that tragic summer night was an 18-year-old called Nils Gustafsson. On Saturday, Espoo District Court said it had remanded in custody a man of the same name, who is now 62.
The National Bureau of Investigation has refused to comment whether the suspect has confessed to the crime. The district court has given the police time until the end of July to file charges against the Gustafsson.

Police say Gustafsson had led a normal life since the Lake Bodom murders.

etc...

Actually I congradulate him.... I mean hell.... getting away with murder for that long.... that takes skill!
Yeah.. it sounds weird.. I read that Nils Gustafsson has been suspected before too, but maybe police has not have enough evidence against him. Maybe they now have... They have made for example DNA tests some time ago...
