well, don't care of the yacht, we have shipyards so you often see ships which are carried forth and back on streets

Those top pictures are taken from the Wisconsin Dells. What you see there is a certain type of layered erosion that only occurs in like three places in the whole world.

Those were all taken in Uppsala, which is a beautiful university city. There's a ring of rune stones around the park up by the main University building that were all found in the construction of Uppsala at different stages.

Alright, here are some pictures from Norway i had stored on my hard drive.

My favorite place in the world:

Norway looks totally like southern Chile, the last 2 pics are very similar to some places where I have been on the past. Maybe I posted some long time ago.

awesome pics! :yow:definitely most beautiful country in the world! what's the place you live in called? i traveled thru Norway from Nordkapp to south 8 years ago but i think i haven't been there...

thnx! yeah it's a better part of the land although NL is just too fckin crowded to have any real unspoiled nature there  you cannot get lost in those small patches of forest which are getting smaller every year

No kidding, where I'm from, The Hague, people have totally forgotten what green looks like. Have to drive at least an hour to get away from civilization and even then the nearest town is at a stone throw distance.

Beautiful photos, and btw, I think I saw you last Friday night. You're shorter than I imagined from the pictures in the other thread!

I live in a small city called Jørpeland, it's a bit southeast of Stavanger.

My girlfriend and I have been thinking about moving to Norway. Now that I've seen those pictures, I'm in. ;) What a beautiful country.

haha i've been thinking the same like for 15 years now  and i'm still not there... :erk: i was even studying norwegian 10 years ago but now i forgot most of it  anyway i'm determined to have moved there before 2012 :Smug:

Well, the economy is great right now, too. And I can read and understand the language, I just can't fucking speak it. :p

But man, how gorgeous is it.. yowza.

I hate you guys!! I'd love to live in somehow cold place like Chile or Norway :(, I live in the tropic haha, its so damn hot.

So I live in Costa Rica in Central america.
Here are some pics from a trip to the mountain last weekend :p

(this one isnt mine :p)

And here is the ugly city I live :(, well part of it, its actually bigger.

Wait, you have to look at this. This is Arenal Volcano, it had half its height until like 40 years ago when it exploded, now it erupts frequently but moderately.

well Costa Rica definitely has beautiful nature too! Parents of a friend of mine wanted to move there but we have talked them out of it after watching some documentaries where it was said that it rains like 6 months a year on Costa Rica, and there are lots of insects and crocodiles  is that true?

Well kinda haha. As any country we have wilderness that of course have certain dangerous stuff, but believe me, its more dangerous camping at a canadian forest full of bears than a costa rican mountain full of...squirrels.

Where I live you can see the usual beatle and a cockroach haha, nothing dangerous. San José (the capital city) is at 1200 metres over the sea level, so here are no mosquitoes, even though, they are kind of innofensive, no malaria and weird stuff haha. Actually my girlfriend is right now in denmark, and she complains every day about the swarms of bugs in her window :p.

Crocodiles?? I saw one at the zoo :p, I think there are some natural reserves where you can find them, but they are not dangerous to people.

Its a common country :p believe me, I spend all my time in a medium city, I never see green stuff...I see McDonalds every block etc. Its like a United States ugly city. I think there are more cell phones than pepole haha.

And it kinda rains a lot, but you get used to, you just have to carry an umbrella and youre fine. But I love rain :p its beautiful.
