I spotted on of these on my local craiglist for $350 a few weeks ago and keep seeing it. I had planned on buying a marshall, and had settled on a jcm2000 as it seems to blend well with other high gain amps. I have done a bunch of internet searches, leading me to various pages, including this one, and they all point to it being a great amp and can go into modded marshall territory which is perfect. However, I'm not buying it as a primary amp, and I want it specifically to blend with other amps. Any opinions?

great amp if you put a ts9-7 or zakk overdrive pedal in front at least for me ..make sure you can mic it loud above 3 on the master volume to hear the magic.......sucks at low volumes.......and yes it blends well with other amps.....used it with a 5150 blend sounded cool ......even without blending sounds great

I had the GH100L for a long while and I wish I never sold it. It can get a great clean and crunch with some tweaking, but to really get it into a metal sound you'll need to boost it. If you can find one for a decent price you should get it. It'll beat out the JCM2000 line, IMO.

Great amps. Really punchy and got a good crunch. Had one for years and it's ended up on many albums. I'd say go for it. They are crazy loud also.
