Laptop advice

I'm in need of a laptop for recording. Budget is around 700€, the cheaper the better, but I want the best bang for the buck obviously.

I will probably be using it with my firebox which is connected via firewire so a FW port is necessary.

What other features should a laptop specifically for making music have and I should keep my eye on? Obviously the processor and amount and the speed of the DDR but besides that?

What I'm essentially asking is, if anyone happens to have made any purchase like mine recently and could guide me to the best models/makes and tell me what to avoid.

Cheers,
Roi

2 Month ago I bought a used Toshiba A660 11M (features Win7 64bit, 4GB RAM (expandble),
i7 QM) for 450€, it really was a nice catch. I just added a new HD with 7200RPM and now its may main recording unit.
It has a Expresscard slot, so you can add a Firewirecard (using that one with my Saffire Pro 14).
That would just be one example. Its a shame, because this laptop is nearly as powerfull as my recordingcomputer featuring a 4x3,2 AMD Processor.

So Id say go for i7 and a 7200RPM (Win64bit with 4 or 8GB of RAM and an average GPU is a standard in this kind of laptop).
