Laptops

Yeah mine had a major internal meltdown because of my tendency to, you know, USE IT IN MY LAP.

Haven't had heat issues ever since I purchased the Targus coolpad. Those powered heat ones are useless, just get one that elevates it slightly.

Consumer Reports says Apple, Dell, and Sony are the key to a great laptop at relative cost and quality. There you go.

(Ok, that was my take on it, but they're all rated the best overall as far as quality.)

the problem with dell is they dont have a high end laptop that suits my needs thats not an xps that has a 13.3" screen and i dont have $2500 to spend. im going sony or toshiba and i hear the toshibas have heating issues.

If you look under the business model dells they have ones like the "latitude" that seem to suit perfectly. I did the build your own thing to check it out and decked one out with the T7250 and 2 gig ram and whatever else and it only came to $1350ish

edit: though it was only 15.4 " because 17" is obscene.
