Anyone had this issue? Mine started doing it around 6 or 8 months ago. PT couldn't keep up and the system would crash regularly. I did some research and it turns out there's been an issue with the heatsink and GPU/CPU connection deteriorating. Opened mine up today, cleaned all the dust and shit out and reapplied some thermal paste and now it's back to being whisper quiet!
