I have this horrible MIDI latency running on reaper, i don't remember ever having it on Cubase but now that i'm trying to make the switch to this DAW it's being a pain and i can't figure out what it is :err: so i don't wanna install cubase again to see if it happens there too  so the thing is, whenever i hit a key (with the pc mouse), its like... *key hit*...................... BOING. (Being boing an amazing synth sound :erk:)... nothing's changed on my UX2's config lately :( , happens the same with all vsti's.

any ideas?

That's odd. I wouldn't blame Reaper right away, since I don't think I've ever heard anyone with that issue.
Maybe a settings issue?

It must be the latency added by any VST's you are running in the path of the synth you are trying to control.

ok, removed a couple master fx's and it's 90% gone... maybe now somebody knows what this is about?

If you were using anything like a brickwall limiter on your master bus then such plugins usually have a look-ahead function. Which inevitably adds latency to the audio output. If you need 0 latency then it's best to keep the master bus clear.
