Latest mix - KILLER band - LOTS of outboard

This is the song that the devil will be playing on loud speakers as he reclaims the earth.

would like to know some info about everything.

Sure, I'll try and remember but if you have specific questions feel free. The band tracked this at a studio local to them, did a really good job for the most part!

Drums are mostly natural with the kick replaced and some support samples on snare and toms. Mix wise nothing too crazy, usual stuff...

Kick - UAD fatso and some EQ, automation

Snare - Slate Dragon parallel comp, goes to a bus with UAD Fatso and Waves H-comp for more comp. Nebula Poolteq EQ, UAD EMT 250 for verb. Blended in some samples from Drumasonic, Invictus and Truth. A bit of saturation from VCC and UAD Studer.

Toms - SSL X-Comp and X-EQ, bit of verb, UAD Studer and VCC

OH and room - Nebula Doc Fear EQ, room is crushed with Waves CLA76, UAD SPL transient designer for some more sustain.

Guitars I reamped the rhythms, main pair is Mesa Roadster, secondary pair is 5150III, both boosted with custom OD pedal through Mesa cab, 57 into API. I tracked with a bit of Avalon EQ, mix is just a touch more EQ and VCC + Studer.

Bass is a blend of an amp track (Ampeg I think with a D112), then ran the DI through my Retro-sonic distortion pedal and blended that with another mult of the DI through Ampeg SVT. EQ, compression from a Distressor and a touch of UAD Dimension D.

Vocals are all printed with Slate Dragon, then get a de-esser and some more staged compression / limiting from Waves. UAD SSL channel for some pre-shaping and then a bit more EQ from UAD Massive Passive on the bus. Lots of crazy FX and automation to bring out the madness they gave me, including distortion from Decapitator, bit-crushing / vocoder and other shit. Reverb from Aether, delay from Echoboy, Schwa CMX for some doubling here and there.

Leads are an ENGL track they gave with some delay, comp and EQ, still not quite thrilled with those I may re-amp them through my Axe-FX yet. Keys just have a bit of EQ to carve out space for them and some automation.

Mix bus has VCC, Hammer EQ, Obsidian comp, then Brainworx digital for a bit of mid / side EQ, UAD studer for a touch of saturation and Ozone for the limiter. I think that's the gist of it! Here are some pics from reamping:

Haha, awesome, sig'd

Pretty much exactly what I was thinking. This is some evil sounding shit!

This is how most mixdowns are supposed to look like right? With these type of plugins in this order?

Do you get stereo width and cleanness from the M/S EQ on the mixbus (master track right?) ?
