:hotjump: hey andy,

got a question :
do you use the same sound-set up for the lead parts as the rhythm tracks
and do you use the same compression on the leads as the rhythm tracks or how do you make the leads stand out and at the same time keep the rhythm tracks stand out as well

is this a compression or a set up matter ?

like some help with this cause when i'm done tracking the rhythm parts there seems no room for the leads ???

help :OMG:

if the leads are not clear over the rhythm then I think you want to try EQing the lead differently. Make sure that whatever frenquencies you boost on your rhythm are being cut out on your lead EQ. this is true of all the tracks. EQ is the gate to recording heaven, but it takes a LOT of patience.

Also, find a good frequency to boost on your lead that is not dominated by another instrument or vocal. EQ is everything.
