Question about guitar recording process...

Hey andy... i was wondering how long does it take for a profesional band (for example nevermore which is one of my favorites) to record the rhythm guitar tracks??... Do they record the whole song or you use loops for same parts?...
I takes too much hours for me to record the rhythm guitar parts (espesially when i record 4 tracks) and if i don't use loops it may take even days...
Is it just me ...or it is indeed difficult to stay perfectly in time??

Jeffs pretty good, infact one of the best but a whole album will probably take 4 to 5 days, with other guys it can take a week or so.....depends on the player
