And DAoC is just an Everquest ripoff, and Everquest is just an Ultima Online ripoff. What's your point?
Battlegrounds = set arenas for PVP. There's one with 40 on each side, designed for hours of epic battle with NPC soldiers and a huge map, and then a smaller 10 vs. 10 capture the flag map. Both awesome.

Actually Everquest is a DAoC ripoff. DAoC = First MMORPG ever to introduce PvP.
Sony didn't add it to Everquest until they started losing customers to DAoC. (Me being one of them
