Let's all replay Final Fantasy 7.

Alright, you've convinced me. I've never played it, but I've been meaning to for a long time now.

I want to play iiiiiiiiiitttttttttttttttttttttttttttt goddamn I wanna play 'em all again (though I never had the chance to play 7 D:).

I got bored with Diablo 2, way too much grinding for me to handle - it was when I was in that jungle place, fighting these endless droves of worms and bugs and other revolting infuriating things, that I realized how much time I was burning doing this tedium, so I said screw it. At least JRPG's give you a bit more sense of story progression (Diablo 2 had a pretty cool story both from what I experienced and watching my friends play, it's just the cutscenes and other story advancers were too few and far between IMO)

Haven't really played too many other classic or JRPG's, just modern hybrids with other genres like Mass Effect and Deus Ex, and I'm playing FFX right now for the first time, so I'm still pretty new to the genre!

Fallout 1 and 2? D:

I'm slow - need to get on that shit. Never played any of them, but the trailers look awesome.

D2 is a bit tedius at first, but I got to the point where I could level to 30 in about an hour and a half, beat act one and be onto act 3 in about 4 hours. I liked playing "Hardcore Mode" on Battle.net though, because if you die, you have to start over again from 0. Made it more interesting!

Fuck... it's been so long though, I can't remember how I used to get so far so fast. Quest grinding in full games online so the XP was max. Catacomb runs one after the other... I had a level 93 sorcoress that could take Diablo in "normal" mode in about 3-4 hits - it was crazy.

Here's a question... can one just jump in and play FF at the 7th game, or do you have to play all the others to get teh backstory?

FFVI (SNES) is so better than anything else though, maybe except Seiken Densetsu III (SNES) or FFX which is pretty good also IMO.

Yeah, the weird thing about the FF games, Chris, is that almost all of them are totally different from one another in terms of the worlds they contain, down to certain religious beliefs, races, levels of advancement, etc. - only the Final Fantasy style of story themes, gameplay, and art (as well as numerous minor references to other games in the series in the forms of, say, item names, or recurring animals) ties it together (though they have expanded on certain universes, especially recently)

Final Fantasy 10 made me feel violently ill. I hated Tidus so much I couldn't force myself through it.

Started my FF7 file earlier. Just got to Aeris' house 8) I named Cloud "Bulb" in honour of Bulb's amazing FF7 medley \m/
