Let's make tiny resolutions

. but dickinson's poems are just not for me...

:p definately not for me either, I moght skip them. We just have to be able to identify fragments from these works and write a few lines of them (simplistic naturalistic bla bla), not to hard to recognise Dickinson in this lot. Then an essay, but no need to use Dickinson for that.

Am lit exam, I've been through most of it already, just need to fresh it up. I can happily report I'm really enjoying this, almost to the point that I forget to think of the following.

Those are the works my faculty have decided, I need to proove knowledge of, to be allowed to help others proove knowledge enough to qualify for higher education. Talk about emptiness.

And stop dissing Dickinson, ffs :yell:

This one, for example, has much more pain in it than any Duncan Patterson lyrics:

The missing All prevented me
From missing minor things.
If nothing larger than a World’s
Departure from a hinge,
Or Sun’s extinction be observed,
’T was not so large that I
Could lift my forehead from my work
For curiosity.

I prefer Baudelaire :loco:

Anyone read Sula by Toni Morrison? Is it any good, or worth buying? Cause i normally should read it for class, but, well, you know i'm lazy....
