i love this cd its so heavy, the guitars are so insanely fizzy though but it fits 100% perfectly. and the drums are weird but they totally work

does any one have any info on what was used on the guitars? i know its adam d's work

correct me if i'm wrong but i remember reading somewhere that it was a 57 close up and either a 57 or some ribbon mic 6 inches back panned hard l and r. if i find the article i'll update my post. I love the tone on this album

I highly doubt that would be the case. It would get too muddy with multiple takes...

Apparently they were using a Dual Rec and a 5150 through Krank cabs. My buddy couldn't recall which mics they used. I hope that helps a little.

I have two demos on my myspace I did quite a while ago for a friends group where the guitars were my 6505+ and Dual Recto blended...."I do my crosswords in blood" and "Sweep the leg Johnny" lol, I can see how those two amps could approximate that sound. (57 on the dust cap even)
