I was just looking at it yesterday.
I´m interested in opinions, too. Maybe in comparison to the Focusrite ISA 428 as the API seems to be another (price) level.

Owned one. Sold it. To be honest i wasn't particularly impressed. Its their stab at prosumer and i dont think it measures up to the rest of the brand. Look into the API over the ISA although i hear good things of both. If youre looking for a great pre at a reasonable price with room to grow get an N72 preamp kit http://www.seventhcircleaudio.com/ they are amazing $649 for one channel in an 8 channel 2 space chassis. and 349 a channel after that. If you dont feel handy with a soldering iron you can buy them pre assembled.

Argh the ssl was half price compared to the api 3124+
I think I gotta buy the api then !!!
