We got this available :kickass: and I was wondering how to use it for tracking clean signal from guitars and bass to reamp later:

Someone told me to turn input gain up and then, output down to sound better but I'm guessing this will affect the signal in some way, don't really know.

I guess I have to keep as neutral as possible: no eq and, of course, no comp.

Have you used this?¿ Any tips?¿

The input section will probably distort in another way than the output when driven hard. That "someone" probably likes how the input distorts.
Or it could be that the input doesnt distort easily but the output does.
Thats just my guess though.
Never tried any of SSL's preamps but they probably arent too bad although they are more known for their eq's and comps.

That's what I was guessing, thanks.

I told him to keep the signal as neutral as possible, we can take advantage of that pre when returning the reamped signal. He keeps on telling me the sound could improve cause everything sounds better when tweak it up. Don't think so...
