Hi,

Hope there is a simple solution to this:

When I was using my old M-Audio Delta, I had an option to route the device port in Cubase to "M-Audio Monitor L/R" when I 'wanted to record a "what you hear" signal or a monitor mix.

Recently I switched to Lexicon IONIX U42S, and I no longer have such an option or anything that looks similar when I try to do the same in VST Connections. Maybe no such option exists, but
it seems odd to me that there will not be a way to route it. trying to do it in the driver is futile, it doesn't even have a utility.

Physical routing with cables would result in noises or double quality loss. I don't think that would be wise. There must be another solution in Cubase.

Thanks in advance for your help

I have a U42S but I'm not sure I understand what you want. You want to record the output to the monitors to a new track???

Thanks for the replies, I solved it by the following:

create a new group track
create an audio track under that group
route the audio out of the source vst audio track to the group track
route the audio in of the destination track to the group track

this takes much longer than what I was doing with my old audio interface - just soloing the tracks i want to record on the destination track and change the vst connections to "monitor mix" but i guess it's the more "proper" way of doing things, especially since I don't have that option on my new interface anymore.
