Hello all,

I am into some pretty experimental stuff and I have a question.

Did someone here try to combine Library of the extreme midi files with drum samples from SD2 from EWQL via EZplayerPro? Does it work?

It worked for me when using a GM drumset from StormDrum 1. Just set the output mapping to GM although the default Toontrack mapping should line up. Do you intend to use a drumkit from SD2 or or some of the percussion? Can you remap hits easily with SD2? I used sd1 with Kontakt so that wasn't a problem.

I am planning to use a drumset from SD2. But, the problem is that I don't have Kontakt, I am using SD2 via Play. Still not sure if it's going to work...

Before you buy anything, just try any GM drum midi track in your host, fed to SD2 ( does the sd2 manual show the kit mapping?). If the pieces don't match up, just make a custom drum map in that DAW.

After doing some research I just found out that everything is much more simple than I anticipated. I just assigned a track to Play, loaded SD2 and then drag & drop the midi files from the Library of the extreme onto the track. Worked perfectly!

Thank you for your help!
