Opps!! Maybe I´m the one here that love Morbid Angel and old school death metal almost as traditional heavy metal
"Altars of madness" and "Covenant" are two of the best metal albums ever. David Vincent period rules (and pre-David Vincent, the demos with Mike Browning, Richard Brunelle,...) and even "Formulas fatal to the flesh" is very good.
Florida old school death metal (Morbid Angel, Death, Obituary, Massacre,...) and Stockholm old school death metal (Nihilist-Entombed, Grave, Carnage, Dismember,...) are, IMO, scenes as important and prolific as NWOBHM.

I just saw them last week (for the 2nd time) and they played 5 songs from Like An Everflowing Stream, their debut album, awesome! OSDM is hit or miss with me. I love shit like ATG and Asphyx, but I can't stand stuff like Entombed's Clandestine or Autopsy's Severed Survival
