Like Morbid Angel / old-school death metal in general?

Fuck yeah old school death metal is fucking awesome they made the shit what it is. im sic of these fucking gay ass bands we need to hear more about bands like death and cannibal corpse and fucking carcass, obituary etc.
You should listen to Bloodbath... you might reconsider then about more newer bands...

For me Death metal died 1993/1994.New DM bands are just noise without sense.
No one mentioned fantastic albums such as Resurrection:Embalmed existence,Nocturnus:Thresholds,Unanimated:Ancient god of evil

Why are people recommending Bloodbath in an OSDM thread?
Because :

A. They are a DM band

B. They do have the influence and spirit of the OS bands

C. One or two people have mentioned that newer bands are not worth it so the recommendation by me was made that perhaps they are not listening to the right bands of the newer generation to say they are not worth it.. so i started off by recommending Bloodbath...

Hope this answers your question...

I don´t agree. Maybe the most influential death metal was released previous to 1994 but there are many good albums in last 15 years: Kataklysm´s "Epic: the poetry of war" and "Serenity in fire"; Nile´s "Among the catacombs of Nephren-Ka" and "In their darkened shrines",... Even old school bands like Dismember has released brilliant stuff.

About UNANIMATED "Ancient god of evil", I guess it wasn´t mentioned ´cause it´s not considered an influential album. However, like you said it´s fantastic, a masterpiece, and, IMO, the perfect mix between Stockholm sound and Dissection. Besides, I´d add another cult masterpiece EUCHARIST "A velvet creation", a perfect album for me.

I heard a couple of good tracks by Bloodbath on music media:OMG:

But,I wouldn't classified them as OSDM or even following that tradition and spirit. :worship: Obituary,Morbid Angel,Death,Deicide,Amon,Suffocation, entombed, carcass,Napalm death,Cannibal corpse, dismember and etc has laid down:headbang:the most classic and influential death metal that ever scorch the earth. And some of these bands still going strong today 20 years into it.:loco: I had listen to a lot more Bloodbath before I make a verdict on them.:Smokin:

Deathevokation is a better recommendation for something in the vein of OSDM than Bloodbath
no...

Need to listen to more then just a couple of good tracks...

Listen to Resurrection Through Carnage album... excellent album... Dan Swano is great imo... talented guy and with Opeth's lead singers vocals it's a winning combination... their other albums and EP's are good too... I was listening to Nightmares Made Flesh album yesterday and today...

You probably haven't even heard any of Deathevokation's stuff if you're saying that. They are newer OSDM while Bloodbath is nowhere near OSDM
That is your opinion. Your entitled to your opinion but not your own facts. My opinion is that BB is the old spirit & feel of OSDM.

Anyways as for the band you mentioned, I heard some samples & agree they are but I was jk with you. Lighten up geez. As the Joker in the Darknight says: Why so serious?

Has anyone mention Malevolent Creation? Retribution and Stillborn are must owns for OSDM.
Definetly...
