Anyone use the Line 6 gearbox plugin? It looks like it has all the same amp models as a POD XT PRO with upgrades. I've heard good sounds from the POD XT Pro. Anyone tried the plug-in and got good results?

I have it. The plug-in is good. The tones seem to sound better DI'd thru a good pre than they do on a normal Pod. I bought it when they were having a special so I got the preamp emulations which are also kinda fun. I've actually found myself using the Gearbox plug on vocals more than guitar.

So what else do you guys use on guitar? I also noticed the new POD3 looks like it has all the gearbox stuff plus spdif I/O for cheaper than the Gearbox. May be worth getting if it's easy to re-amp.

Yeah I like the preamp models as well, but without the plug stamping them to track especially on vox is no fucking way for me. I don't have the plug in and honestly the mic preamp models would probably be the only thing used.
