I gotta admit, ever since the day i bought the PODxt pro its been a recording badass
Now that ive upgraded a little its more awesome, (turn that screamer up)
I dialed in some awesome tones in the last halfhour with the metal pack i just picked up
I will post something when i get the chance

All in all it was a good buy

looking forward to this...

got my pod xt yesterday but need 2 get a uk power supply for it...very frustrating, cant wait to play around with it

Man, I bought the metal pack some time ago and I can tell you for live purposes its a must. I mean I never use my PODXt live to record anything but when it comes to live it can tell the difference. I saw Evergrey live two years ago and i noticed they didn't used any backline at all, they were plugging their podxt live directly into the console and they sounded like on CD. I tried that myself some months ago and it sounded much clearer and much powerful than the real amp miked on the stage. No bullshit. But it really depends on the tone you use and on the soundman, the console, the PA, the location, etc..

I been uing the powerball with screamer
Its bad as hell  Im gonna post some clips probably

+1 on L6 big bottom. and managed to get a pretty sweet tone mixing the chunk-chunk with another preset (cant remember what off the top of my head tho).

struggling to get a decent tone with the 5150 for anything other than leads tho....feel free to share any good presets u come up with ;)

yeh i think it would be cool if we make like a share a preset for pods, sort of like the superior drummer 2 they had.....it would certainly help beginners like me who just got a pod xt and are a bit overwhelmed

also can you save the presets from gearbox onto the xt?

line6 already has the shared user presets collection online at customtone.com

supposedly it translates the uploaded tone across the units, but i dont see how it can do that if they dont share the amp models. i dunno, i downloaded a bunch but have yet to transfer them to my vetta to try them out.

yeh i know about custom tone, but i meant more about presets from people here...you know metal oriented guys :)

MS Diamondplate user here. I'm way less uber-metal than you guys, but it's still the best Recto in the thing. :kickass:

i get that too, i just mean its the perfect vehicle for the board to share settings. share user names and we can all look them up. i know sneap has tones on there already. who knows how many else
