Here's an old doosy, this was my first recording of a band with real drums almost 3 years ago when I finally got a decent interface.:Smug: Anyways, this is all real amps and drums and here's the funny part....ZERO compression. That's right, had no clue how to use it so there isn't any!
Drums were all SM57's and OH's were AT2020's recorded in a bedroom. Amp was a Splawn mic'd horridly haha. Vox are an AKG 220.

WOW.
That kick sounds very nice for being all natural without compression...
Snare could use some compression to sound massive.
Guitars sound boxy and unpleasant to my ears, but the rawness is very nice.
