Compression is a killer and is probably a major factor, but I'm surprised how much the production of this track differs from the first album. Sounds like vocals were recorded differently somehow.

Anyway, it sounds great. If I hadn't already pre-ordered it, I think I would after hearing that. It reminded me of Profits of War, in structure at least (and it's also track 5).
