Little bit listing again...

Sophie's choice makes me cry. The mother (Meryl Steep) is sent to the concentration camp with her two children, a boy and a girl.

For the record: I'm not trying to insult, mock or anything here. And this time I really mean it.

And then to the point: Movies about nazis, jews, concentration camps, etc. make me sick. Really. I just can't stand them. Not in that "oh that's so horrible"-way, I mean how naive, one-sided, sensational, over-dramatic and childish they are. Just hearing about such a movie is enough to make me vomit.

No, I'm not a nazi, racist, jew, German or Israeli, thank you very much.

Watch JSA (Joint Security Area). There's a good drama about people's fates in hands of war, nationalism and intolerance (with a setting that hasn't been chewed to the bone (well no wonder, it's a Korean movie...)).

For me there isn't such thing as best quite much anything... There are very good things, but I can't name best what ever... Hmmm... If I had to list some of the movies I think are great i'd say
-Fear and loathning in Las Vegas
-Fight Club
-God Fathers (tho haven't seen them in a while)
-Heat is good...
-The Boondock Saints (thank mr. H to remind me of this... I rented it randomly some years ago and loved it... oh well...)
-Seven
-Matrix...
-Spirited Away

Haavi auki, kelmit kiinni :D

Right! Should´ve known that.
It´s funny how you hardly never remember the Finnish and English names at the same time... :erk:

Right. The Groundhog Day. (Päiväni murmelina.) Actually I change my previous statement. That's the best movie ever. Cause Dragnet actually is total bollocks :D

Now that´s a good movie! Also "What about Bob?"

And to all who wanted so badly to fuck the dot.... yes, it is hard/impossible to pick the best one. So don´t even try to understand what I was aiming at :bah:
:loco:

Sophie's choice is far from "naive, one-sided, senstational, over-dramatic and childish." You should see the film before making any judgements. It's not about the war and no sides are taken there.

I always cry when I see "legends of the Fall", but it doesn't mean that it is the Best Movie Ever...
There are so many films that I could say...
I think a film can be good/the Best by many reasons,
for example ALL Johnny D. movies are good (end of conversation:).
So the reason can be the actors. (I don't mean the face only...)

But not in every case...(Crossroads is *****)

Rusty: Hey, have you seen Donnie Brasco? Johnny Depp & Al Pacino? I just thought that since you like Godfathers :)notworthy) you might like other mafia-films and I think this might be the best mafia-film after Godfathers... :)

No, I haven't seen that. I'm not a very filmy person, I probably only ever watched The Godfathers *angelic choir* because I read the book one week I was bored. :p But I'll definitely look out for it on tv. :)
