Live Bootlegs

I have 3 live Enchant boot's, 2 are soundboard and I have made artwork for them. One is a double set, very good audience recording. I also have the 'Would?' show, but only on cassette that I can transfer to CD at some stage.

If it's okay with the band I would be prepared to trade them.

I have the "Would" show (Fremont, CA 8/22/97) on cd...I mini-disced it myself.....the sound is really good. I also have a 2 cd set (no artwork) from Fremont, CA 7/25/97....this is a GREAT show! They do 3 songs from Time Lost. I would love to trade. Please email me lemas156@yahoo.com

Refresh my memory on the shows you have? set lists?

I know we headlined one alone at the old venue in Fremont? can,t recall what they called it? We did three shows there ? Is this the one in 97 right before the Fillmore show?

What are you guys calling the " Would Show?" I thought the Would show was the one in Bonn Germany in 4/97 on Mike Portnoys B-Day when he played drums with us and then Ted sang backing on Caught in a Web with Dream Theater? I have that one on Video tape very cool! although it is a srtange angle from behind the bass rig up in the corner

On the Bootlegs, I will discuss this with Ted and Doug when we get togather tommorrw night? I don,t think it is a big deal but Mr Ott is the guy you really should be asking this question. I will see if he can check in? One condition! YOU SEND US ALL A COPY OK We stuff of interest to all?

By the way I have live video footage that I recorded with a remote ( onstage from all angles )from just about every Enchant show I ever played with the band up until 8/26/97 Fillmore in SF, including the first ever gig in Pleasant Hill Ca when Ted and myself first joined the band. I think that #1 show was in Feb of 93? wow?
A lot of the footage is shaky but I do have a lot of shows.

We hope someday to make the best of this possible availiable? someday? its rough but not bad? a lot is stored away on hi 8 and some on VHS? just sitting on it? Doug and I watched some the other night for kicks.
We have a new release to write and record at the moment so until I find someone who can help with this its locked away

The date of the Club Kaos show was 8/22/97. I had no idea you played the Fillmore 5 days later....would've been at that, too! Was that opening for Marillion?

I found the "Zen" cd a few days back....I dig it! The melodies on every thing you guys have done are amazing....and Ted's voice....one of the best around!

Hey everyone...I've only recently discovered Enchant, and as I'm a long time Dream Theater, Rush, Yes, etc. fan, needless to say I was BLOWN OUT OF MY SOCKS when I heard them.



I'm in the process of purchasing everything I can get my hands on by them, but in the meantime I was wondering if anyone out there would be interested in doing some Enchant bootleg trading (assuming the band is OK with boots)? In particular, I'd love to hear some J9D10, Blink Of An Eye or Tug Of War songs live.

I've got quite a few live shows from other bands and lots of rare, hard to find stuff myself. I would be happy to send along a list of what I've got. Please contact me & let's set something up.

I saw that Doug mentioned on another thread (enclosed) that bootleg trading was acceptable so long as no one is profiting unjustly from it... so... anyone up for some trading? Although I don't have any live shows (yet) from Enchant, I've got hundreds from other bands.

I certainly understand, as a fan, the allure of a bootleg recording of my favorite band...God knows I have my fair share of Saga, Jellyfish, Tears for Fears, Utopia, Rundgren, Rush, etc. The quality is always usually a nightmare with some dude screaming into to mic "Fuck Yeah!" or "Whooa!" or whatever, but you get the feel like you are kind of there and that's pretty cool. For Enchant I always want to have a certain amount of control over what's out there. I realize that that's really impossible, but I cring at the idea of a "bad" or "off" performance being spread around. It seems like every tour Ted or I get a cold and a couple of shows are fucked vocally or something weird happens on stage with the monitors or whatever. But hey that's why it's live right! We're human and not machines and yes we do make mistakes...and you thought we were perfect!
Anyway, I don't mind bootleg recordings being shared or traded but if someone's selling them for $ then I'm pissed! So if anybody is selling Enchant shows, let me know so I can track them down and break their legs! For those of you who are trading or just sharing shows...have fun! If you come across a good one let me know about it; I might like to hear it myself!
