Live trigger? Dm5?

What would everyone recommend for a live trigger module ? The dm5 or is there anything else thats better and similar priced?

My band uses a Roland SPDs for live kick triggers (with one of the metal cased roland kick triggers), but i also have and have used Alesis D4 & DM5, TD7,TD9 & TD10
All with very good results, sometime you have to adjust the settings a little bit to fine tune the triggering to avoid crosstalk and false triggering from other parts of the drum kit etc but all worked very well for me.

I've helped people do triggering from a DM5 (or DMPro) to using an SPD-S as well as software. Trust me, software is the best (when does this happen??) for live use. Using a good program like Steven Slate's Trigger has been the best thing i've ever done. I don't let any band i play with have a better kick sound than us haha

Would you suggest running the trigger into an interface/laptop ten into the pa?
