Logic Help!

I'm running logic 8 through a macbook pro. On occasion when I'll be recording, the recording will stop, and I'lll get an error message saying "error syncing audio and midi." I'm usually recording a mic's guitar cab, and never use any kind of midi.

are you recording to your audio to your system HD on the MBP?
