Will be making a trip to London no doubt this summer for a day, and would like to have chance to maybe explore some of the stores to buy some vinyl and cds. Now I haven't been into metal long, so don't know if any stores exist specialising in metal? or any that have a big selection. Down here in Brighton there is nothing apart from edgeworld which has a few hipster metal lps...

Mainly looking for black and folk stuff, but I guess if limited options avaliable anything will do.

Not sure if this is the right section, but couldn't decide where to put it (so sorry).

Cheers!

there is a store i used to go to all the time when i lived in london in camden town...i forget the fucking name....but it's up a few blocks when u come out of the tube station on the right side of the street....its like walking into a basement, really....u go down some sketchy steps and its in the back of a metal clothing store. anyways, it's a small selection, but they have lots of underground shit.

also, if u walk into any of the virgin megastore in the central london their metal selections are pretty good..much better than here in america, especially the one in picidilly circus.

From my experience, walk into an HMV and snoop around the metal section. I found some good deals when I was in the UK. The Goat of Mendes by Akercocke for 8 quid. My Dying Bride CDs.... There definitely was some black and folk when I checked it out. It honestly depends on the HMV that you go to, though. The larger stores will, no doubt, have a much better selection.

Sorry I can't offer any better advice...
