Looked over and underappreciated?

...Mystic Prophecy! I admit to just discovering this band via an internet radio station. I picked up their Regressus cd and it does nothing short of kick ass! Why don't these guys get more love and mention here?

I've hyped them a lot over the years ... one of my favorite power metal bands. I think they are a step heavier than the typical fare, and I've always held them in high regard.

Regressus, and Savage Souls are their best works in my opinion, although as mentioned there isn't a ton of difference from disc to disc.

So, Gus G. is no longer with them? Like I said, I've just discovered them.

I don't think he was missed much. The guitarist that replaced him (Martin Grimm) is quite good.

I'm not going to lie...I'm a Gus G fanboy and own everything that he has touched including Firewind, Dream Evil, Nightrage and his dabblings with Imaginery w/ Firewind bandmate Bob K. I have to say of all the Gus G. Mystic Prophecy's my favorite was his last, Never Ending...it has a much slicker production than the previous 2.

Yes, most of their material has a sameness(consistency?) to them. BUT, they are consistently AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!
How many bands can say that???? These guys need to come to the U.S. IMMEDIATELY!!!!!!

BTW, I also love Gus G, but MP has lost nothing since he left

Yeah, I don't really agree with the "everything is the same" argument. You can say that for the majority of artists within any genre.

I like this band, too! I sure wish they would be picked to play PPUSA in the near future.
