looking for a good vocal distortion

Hi guys.

i'm looking for a nice distortion plugin for screamy vocals.

any suggestions?

its really just to beef up some parts. nothing over the top.

I've actually gotten some good and natural sounding vocal distortion out of Voxengo Voxformer by pushing the drive and gain controls. You can always download the demo and give it a go.

Im going to give another vote for decapitator, it just sounds so awesome on the tape setting. And the mix control is just absolutely amazing, you can absolutely destroy the vocal and just blend it back underneath.

Decapitator or, if you have Pro Tools, the Massey Tape Head plugin is pretty bitchin.

soundtoys devil loc would probably be cool for this, I'm not sure if they're giving it away still but decapitator will give you more control of the sound
