Looking for a new bass rig

You can't beat the look of an Ampeg SVT classic and an 8x10, they are damn heavy though. Any stack looks good tbh though, bass center (brune st) had a peavey firebass 700 head for £199 recentely and that'd be a perfect head for any 4x10/1x15 set-up.

Thanks for the input, but I looked up both of these and there were no glowing red lights or chrome facia on either model.

I think I've found what I'm looking for here:

.. though if there's anything else on the market with more lights and other cool stuff then I need to know about it.

I like the way you think, from what I know there are no bass amps that glow red/have huge chrome face plates. The new Trace Elliots glow green though. If 120watts is enough for you then the Warp X guitar amp is fine, just get a fucking huge cab and it'll look great.

You could always get a Marshall bass stack and replace the panel with a custom one, I'm doing that with my guitarist right now but I'm pretty certain you're not going for the pink leopard print look with To-Mera!!

good idea man.. i just think the whole topic is funny! asthetics are extremely important, i will not deny that, but nothing hits harder than a sweeeeet bass tone, imo. i would give a trace elliot a test drive, just because if you've ever heard one at a live show you'll know what razor jack is talking about! i would go with pink leopard print but thats just my stizzy! :loco:

My old bass player had a Trace Elliot (can't remember what model it was, the old 500w head), the green glowing bit did indeed look great, and sounded awesome running through a 4x10 and 1x15. He had a Korg rack tuner too - think he just wanted lots of lights so no one watched his shoddy playing ;)
