Looking for critiques on a post-hardcore mix

Hey guys, i've been mixing this intro song, and im ok with the results but I don't particularly like them lol. (feels too dense, maybe too loud, guitars somehow feel too up front / present)
This was the best I could come up with though. Can you give some feedback to help me improve?

I think the mix sounds pretty good so far. I'm not a big fan of the way the snare sounds, but that's a taste issue. The cymbals/OH's are a little washy-sounding, maybe too much 'verb.

Yeahh those cymbals are definitely washy - I might have compressed the room and OH too much. But i'm using SSD for the drums, and so far its been really difficult to get a good cymbal sound out of programmed drums haha. And I think that snare is being clipped too much, which is making the high end really harsh. I'll take another look at it and try to get it audible / punchy without clipping it so much

Maybe try playing just the OHs through your speakers and record them. It'll give a room feel.

I think both the cymbals and snare are a lot better now
