it's probably the selection of samples that mapex had on their site of all their different BP snares

some of those sounded pretty decent, but they were all in mp3 format, IIRC

you're right, they are, except for one which is coincidentally the one I'm using in a mix I'm doing right now, a cherry snare sample that's in wav and I love it, great for brutal death metal
